About us
Cat Doctor North Shore is the first cat only clinic on the Shore.
A lot of people don’t understand that cats are unique beings, but here at Cat Doctor we understand this and aim to provide the best care that’s specifically tailored for cats.
Whether your cat needs a vaccination, a check-up, or surgery, we will be here for you and your cat throughout the whole process.
Cat Doctor Team
We may be a small team here at Cat Doctor, but we are mighty! Mark the Veterinarian has many years of experience, including emergency care. Our nurses are qualified and provide a range of skills. Everyone at the Cat Doctor has one thing in common, and that is a passion for cats specifically, so you know your cats are in safe hands.
Mark Silbiger, DVM (veterinarian)
Mark graduated from Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992.
He worked several years in small animal and emergency/critical care practices. After getting his UK vet qualification in the late 90's, he worked in New Zealand as a locum vet for 2 years.
Mark then moved back to the States where he owned a general practice for 8 years. He and his family moved back to New Zealand >10 years ago and worked in emergency/critical care until opening Cat Doctor North Shore in 2019. He has worked with companion and large animals but has a real passion for our feline companions.

Eve , Cert.VN (Vet Nurse)
Eve has been a vet nurse since 2000, qualified in 2001and has worked senior roles since. Eve now works part time as a nurse and clinic manager at Cat Doctor.
She has 2 cats- brother and sister Rio and Shelby
Mit, Dip.VN (Vet Nurse)
Mit kind of looks like the picture above..
Mit has been a vet nurse in NZ since 2020 and works at Cat Doctor part time .
Rosco, CAT
Rosco Silbiger is a native New Zealander. He loves the outdoors and is an avid garage explorer.
